¿Por Qué Oramos Sobre Esto?
Porque hay creyentes que están pagando el precio más alto por seguir a Cristo. Mientras muchos viven su fe en libertad, otros la sellan con sangre. Oramos para que el amor perfecto de Dios venza al temor, y que los perseguidos permanezcan firmes hasta el fin. Este clamor es por una Iglesia que no niega Su Nombre—ni frente a la cárcel, ni frente a la muerte.
Jesús, sostén a los que están siendo perseguidos por causa de Tu Nombre. Cuando el miedo los rodee, que Tu amor los envuelva aún más fuerte. Que no retrocedan, ni duden de Tu fidelidad. Llena sus mentes con Tu paz, y sus bocas con Tu alabanza. Que sus cadenas sean testimonio del poder de Tu cruz. Que los cielos se abran para recibir a los fieles que no negaron Tu Nombre.
Apocalipsis 2:9-10
' »Conozco tus sufrimientos y tu pobreza. ¡Sin embargo, eres rico! Sé cómo te calumnian los que se autodenominan judíos y no lo son, pues solo son una sinagoga de Satanás. No tengas miedo de lo que estás por sufrir. Te advierto que el diablo meterá a algunos de ustedes en la cárcel para ponerlos a prueba y sufrirán aflicciones durante diez días. Sé fiel hasta la muerte y yo te daré la corona de la vida. '
Romanos 8:35-39
'¿Quién nos apartará del amor de Cristo? ¿La tribulación o la angustia, la persecución, el hambre, la desnudez, el peligro o la espada? Así está escrito: «Por tu causa siempre nos llevan a la muerte; ¡nos tratan como a ovejas para el matadero!». Sin embargo, en todo esto somos más que vencedores por medio de aquel que nos amó. Pues estoy convencido de que ni la muerte ni la vida, ni los ángeles ni los demonios, ni lo presente ni lo por venir, ni los poderes, ni lo alto ni lo profundo, ni cosa alguna en toda la creación podrá apartarnos del amor que Dios nos ha manifestado en Cristo Jesús nuestro Señor.'
Hechos 7:55-60
'Pero Esteban, lleno del Espíritu Santo, fijó la mirada en el cielo y vio la gloria de Dios y a Jesús de pie a la derecha de Dios. —¡Veo el cielo abierto —exclamó—, y al Hijo del hombre de pie a la derecha de Dios! Entonces ellos, gritando a voz en cuello, se taparon los oídos y todos a una se abalanzaron sobre él, lo sacaron a empellones fuera de la ciudad y comenzaron a apedrearlo. Los acusadores encargaron sus mantos a un joven llamado Saulo. Mientras lo apedreaban, Esteban oraba. —Señor Jesús —decía—, recibe mi espíritu. Luego cayó de rodillas y gritó: —¡Señor, no les tomes en cuenta este pecado! Cuando hubo dicho esto, murió.'
Because there are believers paying the highest price for following Christ. While many live their faith in freedom, others seal it with their blood. We pray for God’s perfect love to overcome fear, and for the persecuted to remain faithful until the end. This cry is for a Church that does not deny His Name—not in prison, not in death.
Jesus, uphold those being persecuted for Your Name. When fear surrounds them, let Your love surround them stronger. Let them not shrink back or doubt Your faithfulness. Fill their minds with peace and their mouths with praise. Let their chains testify of the power of Your cross. And let heaven open wide to receive those who did not deny Your Name.
Revelation 2:9-10
'I know your afflictions and your poverty—yet you are rich! I know about the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown. '
Romans 8:35-39
'Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.'
Acts 7:55-60
'But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. “Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.” At this they covered their ears and, yelling at the top of their voices, they all rushed at him, dragged him out of the city and began to stone him. Meanwhile, the witnesses laid their coats at the feet of a young man named Saul. While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” Then he fell on his knees and cried out, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” When he had said this, he fell asleep.'
